TURKEY DAY :) *gobble gobble*

So, I LOVE waking up to my dad sumersaulting over me while landing on the other side of the bed waiting for me to respond...like it was a common encounter. God has been showing me just how much I have to be thankful for these past few months. Actually, I was reading in numbers the other day and came across a passage about the people wandering in the wilderness grumbling about their food. They wanted meat...no more manna....so, God gave it to them. God gave them SO much meat that they never wanted to see meat again. Man, all the things I had been griping about such as wanting to find a husband, wanting to get paid more, wanting a new car and such flooded my mind...HOW COULD I BE SO UNTHANKFUL?!? I love that God has broken my heart to show me thankfulness and that he used numbers to do it! AMAZING! There are many things I am thankful for, but first a foremost a God that is passionate, patient, compassionate, worthy, neverending, holds me accountable, a loving father, my best friend, etc. etc. GOSH, I AM SO THANKFUL I FOUND THE LORD and that he continues to work in me and mold me into his perfect masterpiece. Who could ask for more? (I know I do but I'm learning that I don't NEED to :) )

You are.

God of this city -- Chris Tomlin

You're the God of this city
You're the King of these people
You're the Lord of this nation
You Are

Bridge:
For there is no one like our God
There is no one like our God

Chorus 1:
Greater things have yet to come
Great things are still to be done
In this city
Greater things are still to come
And greater things are still to be done here

Verse 2:
You're the Lord of Creation
The Creator of all things
You're the King above all Kings
You Are

You're the strength in our weakness
You're the love to the broken
You're the joy in the sadness
You Are

Chorus 2:
Greater things have yet to come
Great things are still to be done
In this city
Where glory shines from hearts alive
With praise for you and love for you
In this city

Greater things have yet to come
Great things are still to be done
In this city
Greater things are still to come
And greater things are still to be done here

WOW

First off, if you ever need a gulp of reality you should check out newspring.cc and listen to some of Perry Noble's sermons

Second, I am so thankful for my life. I am thankful for a job that I love, friends that I love, people that are challenging me, pastors that know what's up, a God that loves me no matter what, a family that cares, a lovely place to live, a safe community and so much more. I can't believe I spent so much time being ungrateful!

Recently, I've been overwhelmed with the realization of so many lies that I've clung to. I am ready to change and step up to the plate. Ready to be who I was created to be. Tired of running. Tired of hiding.
